Doris Rauscher elected SPD district chair – Ebersberg

With the votes of all delegates present, Doris Rauscher was elected chairwoman of the Ebersberg SPD district association on Friday evening. 47 representatives of all local associations in the district have gathered in the former Sparkasse hall in Ebersberg in compliance with the necessary Corona regulations to re-elect the district board. In addition to this formal act, current politics also played a major role.

In her opening speech, the member of parliament, Rauscher, addressed the current situation in Ukraine. “Our thoughts are constantly with the people there, our solidarity is with them and their country.” The SPD has always been a party of peace, said Rauscher, who also addressed Russia’s President Vladimir Putin directly: “War is never the solution, war only knows losers, the West is shot, return to the negotiating table.”

The Bavarian SPD state chairman Florian von Brunn was invited as the guest of honor on this evening. In his speech, he appealed to those present not to let up in their efforts to accelerate the energy transition. The aim is to abolish the 10-H rule. Equally important for the SPD in the state parliament is the strengthening of collective agreements in Bavaria. Less than 50 percent of the employees are paid according to collective bargaining agreements, according to von Brunn. Therefore, a collective bargaining law is essential in Bavaria, in almost all federal states this is a matter of course.

Meanwhile, not only Doris Rauscher could be happy about the great approval of the delegates. The new district board is completed by the deputy Albert Hingerl, spokesman for the district parliament group and former mayor of Poing, Magdalena Wagner, who last ran for the Bundestag and is also a member of the state board of the Bavarian SPD, and energy policy spokesman Josef Mittermeier.
