The public prosecutor’s office in Ingolstadt previously suspected a woman and a man of having committed murder together. The accused, who were 23 years old at the time of the crime, are said to have persuaded another 23-year-old to meet in the summer of 2022 under false promises. Previously, they are said to have searched the internet and social media for women who resembled the accused woman. According to the public prosecutor, the aim of the 23-year-old was to find and kill a doppelganger in order to fake her own death and go into hiding.
The accused are said to have picked up the later victim by car at their place of residence near Heilbronn in Baden-Württemberg. During the return trip to Ingolstadt, the young woman is said to have been lured out of the vehicle into a wooded area under a pretext, as previously planned. According to the police, she was “killed insidiously with a large number of stabs in the body and for base motives”. The two suspects then drove on to Ingolstadt, where they left the body in the back seat of the suspect’s car in a quiet residential area on the edge of the Danube.
The alleged plan of the accused initially seemed to work. The woman’s body was found by the accused’s parents, who initially actually recognized their daughter in the victim.
Now there are more to the murder allegation. According to the public prosecutor’s office, in the course of the evaluation of the mobile phones there was also strong suspicion of attempted incitement to murder. The accused is said to have contacted another suspect in mid-July 2022 and met him several times. There is an urgent suspicion that the accused “offered the other suspect money and already paid part of it as an advance to induce him to kill a relative,” according to the public prosecutor’s office. He is said to have agreed to the accused’s murder plan, but did not pursue it further despite repeated requests.
