Doping. Paul Pogba tests positive for testosterone on the sidelines of a Serie A match

Paul Pogba’s future is getting a little darker. Already entangled in extra-sporting affairs involving his brother Mathias and hampered by recurring injuries, the midfielder of Juventus Turin and the French team tested positive for testosterone, according to information from the Corriere della Sera, taken up by several other transalpine media.

Controlled in a match in which he did not participate

The facts date back to August 20, when the Old Lady traveled to Udinese. A match largely won by the Bianconeri (0-3) but in which “La Pioche” did not come into play. The Frenchman, crowned world champion with the Blues in Russia five years ago, then participated in both following matches, against Bologna (1-1) and Empoli (0-2). In these two matches, he played just under half an hour.

He suffered another muscular injury against Empoli, but examinations carried out in the hours that followed revealed no lesion. But since his return to Piedmont from Manchester United, he has not been spared, missing 53 matches due to the various physical problems he suffered.

Paul Pogba also unwillingly made headlines in an extortion affair of which he was the victim, which was allegedly orchestrated by relatives with whom he grew up, including, among others, his brother Mathias. This positive test for testosterone risks marking yet another setback in his career.
