Fashion designer Donatella Versace has known Britney Spears for many years. In a new interview, she raves about the singer.
Britney Spears (40) and Donatella Versace (66) have known each other for some time. The Italian fashion designer recently visited the singer at her home. In an interview with “Entertainment Tonight” Versace raves about the 40-year-old.
Spears had recently published several pictures on Instagram, which show her together with her fiancé Sam Asghari (28) and Versace. The pair were “up to no good,” joked the singer, who seemed delighted Versace stopped by.
Versace visited Spears because she is always important to her, the designer now explains. Her friend was last in Milan around 15 years ago and so the 66-year-old showed her some pictures, which moved the singer very much. The pop star is currently “in a good mood”, a very “special” person and has “a good heart”.
Britney Spears went through ‘hell’
In the conversation, Versace also hints at how difficult the past few years must have been for Spears. The 40-year-old went through “hell”. “I can’t imagine what she went through.” The designer is all the happier that Spears is now free.
The singer was incapacitated in 2008 and had long fought guardianship, which was finally overturned by a Los Angeles court in late 2021. At that time, the fashion designer published an old, shared picture on Instagram and happy about the resolution. Freedom is a human right and her heart laughs for Spears, Versace explained in the post, among other things. Based on the US Independence Day, she also wished a “Happy Britneypendence Day”.
Spears’ fiancé, who is a “really nice person”, also likes Versace very much, she now explains. Asghari and the singer met on a video shoot in 2016 and got engaged last September. Spears said a few months ago that Versace was designing her wedding dress. But the designer can say “absolutely nothing” about that, she laughs now.
