“Beauty & The Nerd” is entering a new season

Valentina loves attention, Stefan Dinosaurs: Opposites collide in the reality show “Beauty & the Nerd”. The new season at ProSieben starts with a delay.
Anime fan from the attic meets beauty influencer with a luxury lifestyle: almost a year late, the new season of the ProSieben reality show “Beauty & The Nerd” aired. Actually, the format should have been shown in the summer of 2022, but the broadcaster had taken the show out of the program at short notice. When asked by dpa in May, ProSieben did not provide any further information on the background and referred to personal rights.
“Shortly before the planned broadcast, circumstances arose in the context of “Beauty & The Nerd” that urgently required careful independent examination. For this reason, ProSieben postponed the announced broadcast in close dialogue with everyone involved,” the statement said . The “careful and independent examination of all circumstances” has been completed.
So now, on Thursday, June 29, in the Cyprus sun, the broadcaster is unleashing a horde of “beautys” on so-called “nerds” for the fourth time. The candidates could hardly be more different: On the one hand, influencers and a burlesque dancer from Olivia Jones’ bar pose lightly dressed and skilfully in front of the camera. Some of them even have previous TV experience: Natascha was in the model show “Germany’s next top model” and later in the dome show “Love Island”, Jules was looking for “Are You the One?” After the perfect partner, Valentina went through several shows, such as “Celebrity Big Brother”, “Ex on the Beach” and “#Couple Challenge 2021” – soon she will also appear with her fiancé Can on the RTL reality show “Das Sommerhaus der Stars” can be seen.
On the other hand, so-called nerds, who are usually most comfortable in their own world, face their first TV challenge. They are less committed to the perfect appearance on social media or the dream of a storm of flashbulbs, and more to their unusual hobbies – and they do it with all their hearts. They are fascinated by dinosaurs, anime or the swords and armor of the Middle Ages. On the show, they now have to work with the “Beauty” candidates. In six episodes, a beauty and a nerd personality compete against other pairings, and in the second episode another couple joins the group.
“Who fully engages in each other’s world? How do self-confident beauties and reserved loners benefit from each other?” ProSieben describes the concept of the reality show. There is a prize money of 50,000 euros.
