In the stately baroque Neschwitz Castle, preparations for Yasemin and Jochen’s wedding are in full swing. The garden hall of the castle is magnificently decorated. With the help of a large team, everything should be perfect for the “wedding at first sight”.
The bride and groom are excited about their blind date at the registry office. “I’m really looking forward to the wedding and also to being a husband and then getting to know her and finding out what kind of person she is,” explains Jochen a few minutes before the big moment.
The best thing that could happen: I come in there and have this wow effect right from the start, that everything fits really well, that both of them are ready for whatever comes next.

Sad news for Yasemin
But not everything goes as hoped. Yasemin’s closest caregivers, her mother and aunt, cannot come on her very important day. “There was a bereavement,” explains the 31-year-old during the preparations. Yasemin also knows that joy and suffering are often closely linked. Nevertheless, the wedding should take place in any case. It’s good that she has support from maid of honor Monique, who supports her.
The voltage increases
Only a few minutes separate Yasemin and Jochen from each other. “I’m ready now,” Yasemin can’t wait to get to know her match. Jochen’s nervousness also increases. How will the groom react when he sees his bride Yasemin in the registry office? And will there even be a double vow?
The bride is overcome with emotions
The big moment has come: Groom Jochen beams when he sees his future wife for the first time. And the bride? She is visibly overwhelmed by her emotions. Yasemin cannot suppress her tears and takes refuge behind her bridal bouquet. The Völklingen woman is visibly tense. But Jochen tries to calm her down. The police commissioner from St. Wendel assures his bride that she is beautiful and holds her hand protectively.
Shortly afterwards, the two dare to have a “marriage at first sight” with a clear “Yes, I want” – and crown their decision with a first kiss. After Alexandra and Heiko, they are now the next couple to say yes in their anniversary year.
“Love is everything”: The marriage journey for Yasemin and Jochen begins
It’s time to celebrate! Yasemin and Jochen toast their new marriage in the middle of the enchanted little lake in the castle garden. The 31-year-old immediately feels comfortable in her match. “What I like about my husband is his eyes, his laugh and his manner,” says the 31-year-old. Jochen also immediately feels drawn to his wife. “I think she has beautiful eyes, very nice hair, a great figure,” the 38-year-old enthuses about his wife.
As can be seen in the exclusive bonus clip for the second episode, Jochen takes his bride aside in front of the guests to show her his affection in a musical way. The 31-year-old is blown away by Jochen’s song, which he wrote especially for her.
At the end of a magical day, a romantic surprise awaits the two newlyweds and their guests. Yasmina Hempel and Paul Csitkovics from the musical “Romeo and Juliet – Love is everything” came to give the bride and groom one of the most beautiful love songs of all time: “Love is everything” by Rosenstolz. Accompanied by a firework of emotions, the couple dances their way into marriage.

Shortly before Yasemin and Jochen’s big day, there is still a lot to discuss. In an exclusive bonus clip, the two meet with friends and family to clarify any remaining questions.
Jochen is excited and nervous before his blind date at the registry office, but he trusts in the expertise of the matching experts. There is no trace of nervousness in Yasemin. She is relaxed and looking forward to the unique love experiment “wedding at first sight”.

Music connects, Jochen knows that too. Music has always had great meaning for the groom-to-be. After all, he used to be in a band and played gigs regularly. To communicate his feelings to his future wife, Jochen even wrote a song. How will Yasemin react to this – and will the music connect her?

“Yasemin fits Jochen’s wishes exactly”
After Alexandra and Heiko, Yasemin and Jochen can also be happy: In “Wedding at First Sight” they will undertake the biggest love experiment in Germany – if they want to. 31-year-old Yasmin works as a clerk in the job center, Jochen is 38 years old and a police commissioner.
According to matching expert Dr. Sandra Köhldorfer leaves, Yasemin “fits exactly with Jochen’s wishes”. The 38-year-old longs for an open, honest and trustworthy woman by his side. And Yasemin? “She wants a man who has a strong charter, who is extremely important to security, who also cares about others, who is loving and sociable. Jochen embodies everything she wants,” the psychotherapist and psychoanalyst is certain.
Dr. Sandra Köhldorfer surprises Yasemin and Jochen
Yasemin and Jochen still have no idea that they have been matched by the experts. The good news comes from Dr. Sandra Kohldörfer herself. When she surprises Jochen in his local bar, he is completely over the moon. “This feeling that you’re now engaged without knowing your fiancée is really weird.”
Yasemin can hardly believe her luck when the psychotherapist and psychoanalyst stands in front of her. She cannot yet realize that the 31-year-old will soon meet her future husband at the registry office. “I’m usually built pretty close to the water. Now I’m still on adrenaline,” says Yasemin, overwhelmed.
Yasemin and Jochen can hardly wait
Yasemin and Jochen will continue with adrenaline in the next few weeks. Will they say yes when they see each other for the first time at the registry office? But before that happens, the wedding dress and suit have to be chosen. It takes Yasemin a few attempts until she finds her dream dress. And Jochen also tries on a few suits until he decides on a combination.
So the big day can come! “I can hardly wait to finally get to know him,” says Yasemin full of anticipation. Jochen is also excited to meet his future wife soon: “I just hope […] that it’s an emotional thing for them too.”
