CBD has been a kind of insider tip against ailments of all kinds for years. CBG is also not psychoactive and, like CBD, can be used as an oil without any problems.
CBD as a new silver bullet in the fight against Covid-19?
It all started with a study from Oregon in the USA, in which the precursors of CBD and CBG, namely CBGA and CBDA, were able to elicit the ability to dock to the spike proteins of the coronavirus and thus reduce its ability to enter human cells to penetrate The fact that the spike protein is prevented from binding to the endogenous enzyme ACE-2 makes infection with Covid-19 more difficult.
A week after the result from Oregon, researchers from Chicago followed suit. In a large-scale health study with 1,200 participants, they were given 100 mg of CBD daily. As a result, significantly fewer of this group (6.2%) contracted SARS-CoV-19 than in the comparison group (8.9%). The result is certainly not spectacular, but certainly encouraging. The scientists were also able to observe that CBD impairs the replication ability of the virus and thus prevents it from spreading after an infection.
