Do you know your rights and the procedures for obtaining social benefits?

Ignorance of the system, red tape, complexity and multiplication of allowances… In France, each year, nearly 10 billion euros in social benefits are not claimed by citizens. According to a study by the Drees (Research, Studies, Evaluation and Statistics Department), published this month, 40% of French people think that it is the lack of information on existing systems that would be at the origin of the non-use of social benefits.

And this, despite the digitization of procedures. While it is supposed to simplify access to aid, there are still between 25% and 30% of people who do not receive the aid they could claim. At the end of March, the family allowance fund announced a simplification of the procedures thanks to an “automatic” payment of certain aid, without however ending the administrative procedures for potential beneficiaries.

Do you know your rights to social benefits? Did you find out late that you were entitled to aid? Have you given up on aid because of administrative difficulties? Have you given up on aid because of technical difficulties (access to a computer)? Have you ever researched social benefits and given up because of unclear information?
