Once you start building worlds, at some point you just can’t stop. JRR Tolkien had to recognize this with his “Hobbit” and his “Lord of the Rings” cycle as did George Lucas with his “Star Wars” films. Both faced the same problem: when they were finally allowed to realize their life’s work, they had already accumulated so much material that it went beyond all the usual formats of the entertainment industry.
