Do not leave the road to Corona walkers – District of Munich

The road must not be left to right-wing oaths, so it is right that a broad alliance against the Corona walks is gathering in Unterhaching.

Almost 75 percent of people in Germany are currently vaccinated at least once. Far too few to keep the virus at bay. On the other hand, because there are many children and young people among the unvaccinated, it shows very clearly: Vaccination opponents and corona deniers are a loud, but manageable minority. On the one hand this is reassuring, on the other hand you shouldn’t just watch the goings-on, which now regularly takes place on Monday evenings in many cities and towns. It is therefore gratifying that, as in Unterhaching, the hitherto silent majority is increasingly expressing itself.

It’s not just the worried and weird ones who roam the streets. Right from the start, right-wing groups have tried to collect the corona protests and control them in their favor. In Unterhaching, the right-wing extremist small party “Der III. Weg” recently distributed leaflets calling for people to take part in the so-called walks. It is all the more courageous that two students opposed the protesters – first alone with self-painted signs for vaccination, now with their own demonstration and prominent political supporters.

One can argue about whether a vaccination is really necessary, and not everyone who personally shies away from the injection is an oath who believes in conspiracies. But whoever – for whatever reason – makes common cause with neo-Nazis is a danger to democracy. One must not leave the streets to such people, no matter how few there are – not in Unterhaching and nowhere else.
