In a day-care center in Lower Franconia, an educator is said to have coerced, injured and imprisoned small children. The allegations are quite serious, said a police spokesman on Friday. Accordingly, the educator is said to have forced daycare children in the Würzburg district to eat until they vomit and to wipe up the vomit themselves.
In addition, the supervisor is said to have repeatedly locked children in a dark room. The door, which was not locked, was pulled shut again and again when the children wanted to get out. In one case, according to the police, a child fell from a high bed to the ground after the teacher allegedly grabbed the child’s arm.
The police are investigating charges of deprivation of liberty, assault and coercion. According to the police, the allegations were substantiated by testimony from a colleague.
