District of Munich – Junge Union demands restrictive migration policy – District of Munich

The Junge Union München-Land (JU) calls for a stronger fight against illegal migration into the European Union. In a corresponding application, which the CSU youngsters from the district of Munich want to bring to the JU state assembly in Augsburg, there is talk of a “reorientation of global migration policy”: Migrants would have to be rejected “without exception” at the EU’s external borders and everyone Refugees who have entered illegally should therefore “inevitably be returned to third countries with which corresponding agreements have been concluded beforehand”.

JU spokesman Jan Kämmer refers in this context to the Australian practice in the migration issue. “The EU must take Australia’s no-way policy as a model,” said the district chairman. In addition, the JU refers to an increasing number of “climate, war and poverty migrants” and quotes from the “Global Trends Report” by the UNHCR refugee agency, according to which around 90 million people are already fleeing the world – not including the refugees from Ukraine . “It is actually impossible to offer protection to all these people on the continent of Europe,” said Kämmerer. JU spokesman Lukas Knoll says that a restrictive migration policy would have to end the smugglers’ business and save lives on the Mediterranean.
