District of Munich – Awo trains career changers for day care centers – District of Munich

Interested people can take a course offered by Arbeiterwohlfahrt to be trained as career changers to work in a day-care center. This is made possible by a further training offer from the Bavarian Ministry of Social Affairs, which the Awo district association Munich-Land quickly took up, as the press release states. This is how new staff for day-care centers should be recruited. From March onwards, Arbeiterwohlfahrt will be offering a so-called in-house course and training participants to become supplementary workers in Bavarian day-care centers. With the vocational qualification they have acquired, they can also work as an assistant or specialist in a day-care center and earn money right from the start. Because in parallel to further training, you will be employed in Awo facilities, among other things.

Most of the 15 places on the starter course are occupied. Some remaining places can still be booked. If you are interested, another course will be offered. The training comprises 200 hours of instruction, which are offered in attendance, as online seminars and self-organized learning units. Anyone wishing to apply must be at least 21 years old and should have completed an apprenticeship or a degree. Further information is available from the Awo day care center in Neubiberg on 089/72 63 20 57 and by email to [email protected].
