Over the weekend, the infection rate in the Munich district calmed down slightly – albeit at an extremely high level. This shows the number of people who are currently infected with the corona virus. Last Friday, this exceeded the value of 6000 for the first time in the pandemic and was 6057 affected; on Monday, this value fell to currently 5963 cases. Since last Friday, a little more than 1500 people in the district have been shown to have been infected; however, less testing is usually carried out on Saturdays and Sundays and the laboratories also reduce their capacities.
In Unterschleißheim, Unterhaching and Haar, the number of infections was particularly high at the weekend, with more than a hundred people infected in each of the three municipalities. The seven-day incidence in the county fell slightly from 1301.2 on Sunday to 1216.0 on Monday; in the state capital, the value was significantly higher at 1406.9 at the beginning of the week.
The district office reported another death in connection with a Covid 19 disease on Monday. A man in his 90s has died in a hospital. This increases the total number of people who have died in the district since the pandemic began to 339.
