District of Ebersberg – Can the energy transition still be achieved? – Ebersberg

To be free of fossil and other energy sources by 2030 – that is the climate protection goal that the district set itself in 2006. 15 years later and already in the middle of the last decade before this finish line, the question arises as to how this goal can realistically be achieved. The recommendations for action are on the table. For example in the form of the milestone plan, developed in 2016 and updated in 2021. At the specialist discussion on the energy transition on Monday, October 11th at 7 p.m., Climate Protection Manager Lisa Rütgers and her predecessor Hans Gröbmayr will provide answers as to what the concrete measures that are now necessary have to look like if this goal is to be achieved.

Everyone in the district contributes to the success of the climate target. It is not only necessary to invest in systems for renewable energies, in modern power grids, storage and production technologies. Among other things, far more houses than before have to be renovated in such a way that they need less heating energy and make better use of the heat. What is also necessary and how all of this can still be implemented by 2030 is explained in the specialist discussion on the energy transition, which will again take place as an online seminar. Participation is free.
