An agricultural tractor caught fire near Hilgertshausen-Tandern while driving, resulting in high property damage. According to the police, a 62-year-old farmer from Jetzendorf was driving on Wednesday around 10 p.m. on the DAH 8 district road between Gartelsried and Hilgertshausen when his tractor suddenly caught fire. The man was able to exit his vehicle unharmed. The fire brigades from Hilgertshausen and Tandern that had been informed put out the fire, but the tractor burned out completely. According to current knowledge, a technical defect can be assumed to be the cause of the fire, writes the police. There was property damage of around 35,000 euros.
