District of Dachau: How Sister Caritas became 100 years old – Dachau

Of

Jessica Schober, Röhrmoos

A piece of chocolate at night and a good nap in the middle of the day should be enough to live to be 100 years old. At least almost. Sister Maria Caritas giggles. That’s not what she said, the Franciscan sister from Schönbrunn. In everyday life she practices doing without. Prefers to eat yoghurt instead of ice cream and only spreads a very thin layer of butter on the bread. If you try to elicit a magic formula from the jubilee about how a normal mortal could live to be 100 years old, then she confidently refers to the responsible authority: “It’s up to God.”
