District Court of Traunstein: murder with poisoned favorite food – Bavaria

They are said to have mixed a fatal overdose of medication into their favorite food for their relatives in need of care: the Traunstein district court has been hearing since Tuesday against a woman and her daughter for murdering her father or grandfather.

According to the prosecution, the 55-year-old woman was upset that her father had given her son his property in Töging in the Upper Bavarian district of Altötting as a gift. The prosecution sees greed as a motive here. Her 30-year-old daughter – the granddaughter of the dead man – moved into the house in 2014 and took over the care and maintenance of her grandfather. However, according to the public prosecutor’s office, the care became an increasing burden, which the 30-year-old with her own family and two children was less and less able to cope with and which she – according to the indictment – wanted to get rid of.

The two women are said to have therefore decided to kill the senior. They are said to have obtained various medications and administered them to the man with his specially cooked favorite food. The next day, the family doctor could only determine the death of the man. Other relatives raised the suspicion that the man could not have died of natural causes. The two women have been in custody for the last year. The process is initially scheduled for 13 days of negotiations until mid-November.
