District Court of Munich: Incorrect holiday booking – four people in a “double room” – Munich

A woman is suing because she thought she had booked four double rooms for her holiday in Italy with eight people. Instead, the group came closer than expected. The Munich district court has a clear opinion on this.

Ambiguities sometimes suggest delicate matters. Even more so when it comes to the occupancy of double rooms. But the district court in Munich didn’t want to leave any room for interpretation: a lawsuit before the civil court was simply about the factual question of whether the term “double room” could also mean four people in two double beds. Or just two?
