Dissatisfied fans of FC Barcelona approached their coach Ronald Koeman after their 2-1 loss in the Clasico against Real Madrid. When the Dutchman left the Camp Nou, chaotic scenes played out.
Due to a lack of safety measures, Koeman had to work his way through the fans at the wheel of his car. Some shouted “Get out”, others hit the hood of the car, and a fan even lay down on the car to take a selfie.
Barca condemn the behavior of the fans
In the evening, Barca commented on the wild scenes via Twitter: “FC Barcelona condemn the violent and contemptuous behavior that our coach experienced when he left the Camp Nou. The club will take security measures and disciplinary measures so that such unsightly scenes are not repeated.”
Koeman has been under great pressure for weeks after the moderate start to the season. His team tried hard in the Clasico, but Real Madrid secured three important points in the duel between their arch-rivals in a 2-1 win on Sunday afternoon.
