In the dispute between the Bavarian cabaret artist Monika Gruber and the Instagram user Roma Maria Mukherjee over racist and defamatory allegations in Gruber’s most recent book, “Welcome to the Wrong Film – News from Common Sense in Hysterical Times”, published by the Munich-based Piper Verlag, there has been a first court decision – in favor of Gruber. Mukherjee had sued for an injunction against Monika Gruber and Piper Verlag. This application has now been rejected by the Hamburg Regional Court as unfounded. The costs of the proceedings were also awarded in full to Mukherjee.
