Why theater – and for whom? Makers and viewers discussed it for six hours at the Bavarian Academy of Fine Arts. And the audience, who supposedly stays away so often, is extremely interested.
In the third round, the actors have their say. Four are invited, one of them is Wiebke pulse, has been part of the Munich Kammerspiele ensemble for 18 years. Puls is an extraordinarily clever actress, and one who, throughout her years in Munich, has repeatedly publicly advocated for her theater when a harsh wind was blowing against it. She says that in these 18 years the directorship has been repeatedly exposed to attacks, sometimes the ensemble has been described as the best in Germany, sometimes as really bad, sometimes it was great, sometimes empty and shit, she feels like a ” vulnerable spearhead”.
