Discord between LFI and the RN over the reintegration of unvaccinated caregivers

Ball in the center. On Wednesday, in the National Assembly, France insoumise (LFI) and the National Rally (RN) launched spades on their shared project of reintegration of unvaccinated caregivers. Each accuses the other of dirty tricks to the detriment of the personnel concerned.

On the occasion of their parliamentary niche on January 12, the deputies of the RN wanted to put on the agenda the LFI bill on the reintegration of caregivers not vaccinated against Covid-19. A political coup which forced LFI to withdraw its text on Wednesday morning, to avoid any rapprochement between the left and the far right.

Publicity stunt or political surrender

“The suspended caregivers are not intended to serve the communication blows of the RN”, explained the rebellious group and announced that it would file “a new bill” on the subject. “The LFI group withdraws its text usurped by the RN. The border is clear, ”said Jean-Luc Mélenchon on Twitter.

Denouncing “a low political surrender”, the far-right party accused LFI of “putting its political interests before the general interest”, and of preferring “to sacrifice caregivers by withdrawing its text rather than seeing it discussed at the occasion of the parliamentary day reserved for the RN group”. If LFI had at first seemed to be satisfied with the situation, Caroline Fiat boasting of remaining the only rapporteur to defend the text on the time allocated to the far-right party. But this choice, decried internally by some rebellious, has tensed the partners of Nupes.

This is not the first time that the RN has embarrassed the left: during the vote of the first motion of censure LFI against the government, within the framework of the budget, the party of Marine Le Pen had rallied against any expectation to this text, dividing the left alliance and offering turnkey an angle of attack to macronie on an alleged LFI-RN collusion.
