A tragic accident happened on a railway line in Recklinghausen on Thursday evening: according to the police, a group of people were hit by a freight train and dragged along for several hundred meters.
A large contingent of the fire brigade is in action and searches the tracks. According to police, the accident happened around 6:12 p.m. So far, she has not given any specific information about the victims. “So far, the police have not wanted to say how many people and at what age. That probably has something to do with the fact that the relatives have not yet been informed, or that some of the relatives could not even be identified,” reports WDR -Reporter Marc Sense on site.
The streets around the scene of the accident have been cordoned off.
