Director Bastien Milheau reveals two “beautiful kids” version 2023

Super-stuffed of Bastien Milheau is worth much more than its title. This first film about the friendship between a lanky boy, a young lady with the physique of a rugby player and a still is a real gem. Its two 17-year-old heroes, played by Pierre Gommé and Nina Poletto, quickly win the heart of the spectator in this comedy whose naturalness makes one think of beautiful kids of Riad Sattouf.

“I was inspired by my own adolescence and I asked my younger sister for advice on the dialogues because I wanted to avoid making an old film that seeks to be young”, explains the director to 20 minutes. The choice of its actors was decisive in the success of this tender comedy.

Classic audition and wild casting

“We found Pierre who already had experience as an actor with classic auditions and Nina thanks to a wild casting in the rugby clubs of the Toulouse region, remembers the director. They matched from their first meeting: a real friendly love at first sight. The complicity of the duo who wonders about her future – dreaming of new horizons for her, she seems stuck in her father’s fruit farm – also draws its charm from the sublime landscapes of the Gers.

“I leaned on Pierre, explains Nina Poletto to 20 minutes. I asked him for advice because he had already experienced filming but I quickly adapted to him. “His partner found support with Barbara Schulz who plays his mother. “It was a very participatory shoot where everyone helped everyone else,” he says. Everything was written but Bastien also allowed us to improvise which allowed us to bring a bit of ourselves to our characters. »

Sex, parties and transmission invite themselves into Super-stuffed around an artisanal distillery changing the lives of heroes. “We know how to make booze so we can always recycle ourselves,” jokes Nina Poletto, now 19 years old. The young woman, who is in her second year of nursing school near Agen, would see herself pursuing a career as an actress. Pierre Gommé, Parisian, continues to act. We wish them both a glory worthy of that experienced by Vincent Lacoste who was discovered in The handsome kids in 2009.
