Beyond the pricing conditions, some demonstrators recalled their opposition to health carpooling. “It’s a question of patient dignity. When you transport four people at the same time, it can take a long time,” Cynthia pointed out this morning.
Contracted taxis can, for example, take care of patients coming out of chemotherapy, “people who are already weakened”. The two demonstrators asked for a postponement of the signing of the pricing conditions until March. An argument which should be defended by the seven representatives currently received at the CPAM.

After the meeting with the CPAM, the taxi drivers will hit the road again around 2:30 p.m. for a general meeting around 6:15 p.m., at Toulouse-Blagnac airport.
“We hope by then to have information from the highest authorities of the CNAM,” explains the spokesperson for UNT 31, Stéphane Abeilhou. If the responses provided are not sufficient or non-existent, a new strike on January 29 has already been announced.

7:30 a.m. Procession routes
A first procession will circulate towards the Seven Deniers and will then cut in two. One will head towards La Cépière, then towards Ponts-Jumeaux and Jean-Jaurès. The other will go back towards Auchan via the Agde road.
Another procession will circulate on the ring road from Colomiers to La Cépière, then towards Jean-Jaurès. Finally, the last one will leave towards the Halle de la Machine, take the Boulevard de la Méditerranée and finish at Jean-Jaurès. At 10:30 a.m., they will be at the CPAM to present their demands.

Among the demonstrators gathered, Malika (10 years in the profession) and Cynthia (3 years in the profession, CPAM member for 1 year). “We are here to save our profession. We don’t know what’s going to happen to us,” Cynthia explains. In Haute-Garonne, the pricing conditions for CPAM-approved taxis have not been set.
However, the deadline for signing the pricing conditions is February 1. “It’s like signing an employment contract without knowing your salary,” adds her colleague, Malika.

6:30 a.m. – Nearly 350 taxis in Toulouse
