The farmers left the Plaisance-du-Touch purchasing center and organize a snail operation on the Toulouse ring road. Currently, the engaged convoy is in the Purpan area. “We will go out to Lasbordes-Balma,” explains Helene Delmasspokesperson for the Confédération Paysanne de la Haute-Garonne.

Traffic jams are expected on the A624, the A620 and the A61 in the northern zone of the Toulouse ring road.

“We found garlic from Spain, chickens of European origin,” quotes Helene Delmas, farmer in Lauragais and spokesperson for the agricultural union of the Confédération paysanne. Protesters plan to stay on site until 12 p.m. this Wednesday.

8:28 a.m. – New blockages at the airport

Toulouse airport informs, new blockages are to be feared this Wednesday. In anticipation of traffic jams that could form on the roads leading to Blagnac, travelers will need to plan their trip.

Due to the actions taken by farmers and traffic, traffic jams have formed on the ring road, especially on the A68where it will take 21 minutes to reach the ring road:

8:02 a.m. – Update on closed highways

Around the Pink City, highways are still closed and occupied by demonstrators. Update on the situation this morning:

  • On the A20 : in Montauban, at the city bypass, the A20, is closed between ZI Nord (N°61) and Caussade (N°59). In the direction of Paris, you have to exit at ZI Nord and take the highway at Caussade. In the direction of Toulouse, you have to exit at Caussade and get on the highway at ZI Nord. South of Montaubanit is impossible to take the A62, direction Bordeaux.
  • On the A62 : between Toulouse and Bordeaux, the A62 is closed for approximately 70 kilometers, in both directions, between Agen (N°7) and Montauban (N°10). In the direction of Bordeaux, the exit is obligatory at Montauban (N°10). You then have to take the motorway to Agen. In the direction of Toulouse, you have to exit at Agen and take the highway at Montauban.
  • On the A64 : between Pau and Saint-Gaudens, the A64 exits are closed, in both directions, for 75 km between Soumoulou (N°11) and Montréjeau (N°17). In the direction of Toulouse, if motorists want to pass through Soumoulou, they will not be able to leave the A64 before Montréjeau.

7:55 a.m. – After the MIN, an action in Colomiers

The Peasant Confederation had called for blocking purchasing centers on Tuesday following Gabriel Attal’s speech: “there is still no commitment from the government to open work on the ban on purchasing below the cost price of our agricultural products,” she explained in a press release.

And to continue: “this is why the Peasant Confederation calls for mobilizations to be directed by blocking the places where this price pressure is exerted”.

Very early in the morning, in Toulouse, farmers were first gathered at the MIN. They are now installed in front a Carrefour purchasing center in Colomiers.

7:37 a.m. – The A68 closed to traffic

The farmers had planned to carry out new blockages on the roads. Radio Vinci informs that the A68 is cut in the Albi-Toulouse directionat Montastruc.

Motorists must continue their journey via the D888 towards Toulouse to reach the ring road. Major traffic jams have already formed.
