A little after 3 p.m., the farmers who left the Oise with 200 tractors arrived at the Chennevières area (Val-d’Oise), on the A1 motorway, where they began to organize their camp. Here, some people pile up bales of straw to create a dam, there, others begin to take out food.

A barnum has been installed on the A5a in Réau (Seine-et-Marne). The farmers put in the food and drinks which should allow them to hold out this blockage for several days.

After greeting many farmers at the Jossigny blockade, Karine Le Marchand affirmed that the French “support” the current movement. “You must not give up until you have concrete things,” she insisted, as the demonstrators organized themselves to spend a first night in their tractors.

Coming to a blockage point on the A4 motorway, the presenter of “L’amour est dans le pré” Karine Le Marchand asked the farmers to lead a peace movement. “If there is no violence, we will distinguish ourselves from other major movements and it can work,” she told the demonstrators.
