Train cancellations, blocked routes, a lack of passenger information: regional rail transport in Bavaria is deplorable. Deutsche Bahn wants to change that, but doesn’t even have a plan for it.

The route to Kochel: closed due to repair work. The route to Oberammergau: closed. The route to Mittenwald: closed. The condition of the railway in Werdenfelser Land: a disaster, not only because of the train accident two months ago near Garmisch-Partenkirchen and the long clean-up work there. A lot of routes are just not right. But now everything should get better, also on the three lines in the Oberland in the mountains; to Bayrischzell, Tegernsee and Lenggries. The only question is: when and with what money. That is still completely open.
