Digital summit 2022 with Scholz, Habeck and Wissing: a lot of window dressing – economy

Actually, it would be nice if you could “see a bit” of digitization at a digital summit like this. Even Robert Habeck says so. In the heated conference halls in Berlin, however, there is little to see apart from blue stages with panel discussions. After all, Chancellor Olaf Scholz is shown a few “exhibits” like on a school excursion, such as an AI-supported agricultural robot that looks like a small combine harvester. At the summit – which Habeck co-organized as Economics Minister – politics and business should present their most innovative digital projects with a lot of fanfare and political celebrities. And stage yourself as a driver. It seems ritualistic and museum-like, but above all like an attempt to polish up a lackluster reality. In this regard, Germany is still lagging behind developments and is ten years behind in many respects. In fact, there wouldn’t be much more to show than the little combine harvester.
