Differentiated traffic extended Monday in part of Ile-de-France due to a pollution peak

The episode of particle pollution in Ile-de-France is not over. The measures put in place since Saturday by the police headquarters concerning differentiated traffic in part of the region, as well as the lowering of maximum speeds by 20 km / h on the roads are therefore extended, announces the Paris Prefecture on Twitter .

Only Crit’Air class 0, 1 and 2 vehicles are authorized to travel within a perimeter defined by the A86, excluding this one, from 5:30 a.m. to midnight.

Responsible good weather, but not only

“High levels of particles are expected in the region, due to unfavorable weather conditions for dispersion this evening, an accumulation of pollution for several days and high levels throughout the northern and eastern part of France”, comments Airparif on its site.

This pollution comes from several sources (in particular wood heating, road traffic and agriculture) and is combined with anticyclonic conditions unfavorable to the dispersion of pollutants.
