Dieter Hallervorden’s fitness is no coincidence – the daily fight against the bastard and his wife play a major role.

Mainly thanks to Dieter “Didi” Hallervorden’s (87) infantile cheerfulness, it seems almost unbelievable that the comedian and actor will be 88 this year. The fact that he is still as fit as a well-worn sneaker at this age cannot be described as a coincidence, as he says in an interview with “Bild am Sonntag”. His fountain of youth secret: a morning fight against the “inner bastard” and the love for his wife Christiane (57), who is 30 years his junior.

He dedicates an hour in the morning to fitness: “Thirty minutes pedaling on the ergometer, thirty minutes swimming against a strong counter-current system.” He had it installed in his in-house Hallervorden indoor pool a few years ago. However, a little ailment has been plaguing the actor for ten years now: “The left Achilles tendon could finally stop reminding me that I overwhelmed myself in the film ‘His Last Race’.” In the 2013 film, he played a retirement home resident and former elite athlete who decides to run another marathon.

Enjoy “many more years” with Christiane

Meanwhile, the star jokingly describes his third wife Christiane, whom he married last year, as “a wonderful ‘life supplement'” – she gave his “life a new impetus”. In order to be able to “enjoy many more years” with her, Hallervorden works diligently on his health every day. Quite the rogue, he adds: “Sporting activities with my wife elude public discussion.”

Hallervorden’s first wife was the actress Rotraud Schindler, with whom he has two children. His second marriage to Eleonore Blume lasted 25 years, and they also have two children together. He has been with former stunt woman Christiane Zander since 2015, and the wedding bells rang in 2022.
