Malik Harris ended up in last place at the ESC final – wrongly so, according to Dieter Bohlen.
Dieter Bohlen (68) shared with his 1.5 million followers on Instagram how he rated the final of the Eurovision Song Contest, which took place in Turin on Saturday evening. As expected, Germany fared anything but well and ended up in last place. “It used to be a competition for composers, who wrote the most beautiful number. Of course it hasn’t been for a long time,” said Bohlen about the ESC, adding that he was “surprised” that the quality “was really good” , there were “a few great numbers” there.

On the victory of the band Kalush Orchestra from the Ukraine with their song “Stefania”, Bohlen explained that it was “the first war Grand Prix” and “of course very different”. That’s why “the Ukrainians won, although I’ll be honest: it wasn’t the best number, of course”.
For the German contribution – singer Malik Harris (24) ended up in last place – Bohlen also gives his rating: “That might not have been the best number, but he would have deserved such a middle place.” The pop titan also believes, “Somehow we’re not that popular, we’ll never get more votes”. Germany received zero points at this year’s ESC final. Bohlen continues: “I think people don’t love the Germans at the moment. I have no idea why.” In the direction of Malik Harris, Bohlen said: “Cheer up, it goes on.”
