This is how the police control the diesel ban in German cities

In Munich, the authorities are announcing days of action for the new driving ban. Because elsewhere, not all motorists adhere to the regulation. What violations cost – an overview.

Since Wednesday, there has been a driving ban on old diesel vehicles in emission class Euro 4/IV in the Munich environmental zone, which now also includes the Mittlerer Ring. This affects around 70,000 vehicles registered in Munich alone. From October 1st, a further 70,000 class 5/V vehicles will be affected by the diesel ban.
