Didier Berton, a former candidate for thelove is in the meadow, died this Friday in an accident with his tractor. Information from Free lunch was confirmed by M6, the Instagram account dedicated to the show. “It is with deep sadness that we learn of the death of Didier, farmer from season 6 of Love is in the meadow, evokes the chain. The farmer was working in his vineyards, in Capestang, in the Hérault, when his tractor would have tipped over from a terrace and crushed him. Neighbors who heard an explosion discovered the tractor on fire. The inquest will determine the cause of his death.
The farmer had not found love, but a solid friendship
Winegrower and market gardener, this resident of Montady, near Béziers, had participated in season 6 of Love is in the meadow, in 2011. For him, unfortunately, the show had not led to any romantic relationship. But this television adventure ended in a solid friendship with Jean-Michel Claveau, another candidate for this season, who was then raising cows in Indre-et-Loire.
