DG Art Prize to architect Anna Heringer – Munich

She is considered a pioneer of sustainable construction: the architect Anna Heringer, who was born in Rosenheim in 1977. She has realized projects around the world with local craftsmen and women, taking into account traditional building forms and building materials such as clay. Heringer holds a UNESCO chair and was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit in 2022. Now the German Society for Christian Art is honoring her with the DG Art Prize – Gebhard Fugel Prize, which is only awarded every three years, for her “distinct aesthetic style”. The award ceremony will take place as part of the opening of the exhibition “One Planet, One Family” on November 16th in the DG (Finkenstr. 4, Munich). The exhibition presents Heringer’s architectural projects from Asia and Africa as well as in German-speaking countries.
