It’s a story that’s as crazy as it is complicated: Last week, the German Football League (DFL) wanted to start selling the television rights for the Bundesliga from the 2025/26 season onwards; it’s worth several billion euros. A total of 15 rights packages were to be sold gradually via auction. But immediately after the first package, the DFL had to suspend the process for the time being.
