DFB: More money for officials – Sport

Of

Johannes Aumüller and Thomas Kistner

Dealing with sensitive financial issues is one of the main tasks for the new Executive Committee of the German Football Association (DFB). A sore topic. In the affair about an expensive consulting contract, even the public prosecutor’s office is now investigating on suspicion of infidelity. In addition, the labor court clinch with a former employee recently ended in an unnecessarily expensive defeat. It could have been avoided, an agreement could have been reached much earlier. The new leadership inherited all of this from the old leadership around the string puller Rainer Koch. But the supposedly new DFB around President Bernd Neuendorf is surprisingly passive in dealing with the legacy.
