VfB Stuttgart will have to do without attackers in the quarter-finals of the DFB Cup. According to information from the German Press Agency, the 27-year-old did not even make the trip to the game against Bundesliga leaders Bayer Leverkusen in the evening (8:45 p.m./ARD and Sky) because of gastrointestinal problems.

Several media outlets had previously reported on the striker’s absence. Guirassy arrived back in Stuttgart on Monday after the Guinea national team was eliminated from the Africa Cup of Nations.
