“Berlin, Berlin, we are driving to Berlin”. Record cup winners FC Bayern have to wait an unusually long time to take part in the final. A new addition is looking forward to his debut.

When asked about the long-ago embarrassment of the first round exit in 1994 at TSV Vestenbergsgreuth, the Bayern coach smiled. “I sat in front of the TV and couldn’t believe it. That was a while ago, I was still pretty young,” said the 50-year-old.
Training without a Oktoberfest hangover
After visiting the Oktoberfest at the weekend, the Bayern stars completed their final training in Munich in the afternoon without a hangover. “With an eye,” says Thomas Müller, the professionals completed the beer tent event. It is clear that “no one is going overboard,” emphasized Tuchel.

Everything is possible in football,” said Hildmann with a smile. The 51-year-old was referring to his team’s cup game against VfL Wolfsburg two years ago. Against the German record champions, Hildmann is not only demanding a committed defensive performance from his third division team. “I want us to be brave, to look for one-on-one situations when we steal the ball,” he said before the first round game. “We want to sell ourselves very, very dearly.”
