DFB Cup: draw in the LIVE ticker – who will FC Bayern, BVB and Co. draw?

The draw for the second round of the DFB Cup will take place on Sunday (October 1st) at 7:10 p.m. at the German Football Museum in Dortmund. Who will FC Bayern, BVB, Eintracht Frankfurt, VfB Stuttgart and Co. meet? sport.de accompanies the draw at this point in the LIVE ticker.

+++ Hammer games are already threatening +++

Since only a few teams from the amateur pool are still in the competition, there will probably be top games in the second round. Duels between Bundesliga clubs or even absolute top clubs are conceivable.

However, those in charge at BVB, FC Bayern and Co. are likely to hope that the most explosive games come later in the DFB Cup.

+++ Favorites around FC Bayern and BVB do not show any weakness +++

Both FC Bayern and Borussia Dortmund overcame their opening hurdles in the DFB Cup with ease.

The record cup winner from Munich celebrated a 4-0 win over third division team Preußen Münster in their first round game, which was delayed due to the Supercup. BVB beat regional league team Schott Mainz 6-1.

Defending champions RB Leipzig are also in the second round, but had a lot more trouble than expected in their 3-2 win at SV Wehen Wiesbaden.

+++ How does the draw in the 2nd round of the DFB Cup work? +++

As usual, the German Football Association (DFB) has hired a prominent lottery fairy to draw the balls, this time Shkodran Mustafi, 2014 world champion. DFB Vice President Peter Frymuth is the draw manager.

There is a lottery pot that contains the clubs in the Bundesliga and 2nd Bundesliga, as well as one that contains the amateur clubs below the 2nd league.

First, one ticket will be drawn first from the amateur container and then from the container with the Bundesliga and 2nd Bundesliga tickets.

If there are no more tickets in one container, the remaining teams in the other container are drawn against each other.
