Deutsche Wohnen boss Michael Zahn takes his hat off after the takeover of his group by the industry leader Vonovia. Deutsche Wohnen announced that he had asked the supervisory board to terminate his contract at the end of the year. After 14 years as CEO, he knows the company is in good hands, says Zahn. A week ago, the manager had turned down the offer to join the Vonovia executive committee as deputy chief executive officer. He would have been number two behind Vonovia boss Rolf Buch. Vonovia secured a majority of 86.7 percent in Deutsche Wohnen in October after several unsuccessful attempts.
