Transfer news LIVE: Man Utd Hojlund deal advanced, Harry Kane clause, Chelsea hijack fear | Football | Sport

Dutch journalist Marcel van der Kraan has warned Chelsea that Mohammed Kudus would join Manchester United at the drop of a hat.

The Ajax forward, who wants out of Amsterdam, is close to agreeing personal terms with the Blues and has also attracted interest from Arsenal and Brighton.

But Van der Kraan thinks he would favour a move to Old Trafford due to his personal relationship with Ten Hag.

He told Sky Sports: “Mohammed Kudus is a really interesting player as far as midfield and striker is concerned. He can play both.

“He is on United’s list and if any of the players we have just mentioned [Hojlund] mentioned fail to come or talks break down, Kudus could be an ideal option.

“Quite significantly in this matter is that Kudus is in training camp in the south of Germany near Munich and has told his club that he wants to leave.

“When does a player say he wants to leave? Well usually when he’s got something else lined up.

“He’s very keen on a move to the Premier League whether that be a top club in London or Manchester but as soon as Ten Hag knocks on his door, he will go.”
