Moscow was attacked this morning by suspected Ukrainian kamikaze drones just hours after Vladimir Putin unleashed a volley of similar strikes on the Ukrainian capital of Kyiv.

Buildings were damaged in wealthy suburbs in the south-west of the Russian capital were hit, including the elite district of Rublyovka. 

Explosive drones struck blocks of flats in Leninsky Prospekt and Profsoyuznaya Street about six miles from the centre of Moscow, reportedly wounding several residents and damaging the buildings.

Russia claims it has captured salt-mine town Soledar

Ukraine has denied Moscow’s claim that Russian forces have captured the salt-mining town of Soledar, a key focal point of Vladimir Putin ‘s invasion as he desperately presses for his first victory in months.
