New York City has become the latest Democrat-led area to urge residents to wear face masks in all indoor spaces including grocery stores, offices and shops because of rising Covid cases.
Health commissioner Ashwin Vasan said the recommendation was needed due to ‘high community spread’ of the virus. But he added that they ‘don’t anticipate… this wave will last much longer’.
