Compulsory Covid isolation should be considered by ministers to ease the burden on the struggling NHS, a Labour MP claimed today.
Rachel Maskell, who serves on the Health Select Committee, said ‘we need’ people to isolate if they’re infected.
She added that the point of testing — one of the pandemic-era policies axed when No10 chose to press ahead with its living with Covid strategy — was to ensure life ‘doesn’t continue as normal’ for those who are positive.
