A British Medical Association chair today boldly compared junior doctors’ salary to that of his cleaner.
Professor Phil Banfield, head of the militant union’s council, said the Government’s final offer of a six per cent pay rise for junior doctors is a ‘reasonable starting point’ for striking medics, who today began a five-day walkout in pursuit of a 35 per cent hike.
