Unvaccinated people who caught Delta have virtually no protection against Omicron

People who are unjabbed but previously had the Delta Covid variant may have very little protection against Omicron infection, a lab study suggests.  

Austrian scientists tested the blood of those who had beat the older strain of the virus against the new super-variant to measure their antibody response.

They found only one out of seven samples produced enough of the infection-fighting proteins to neutralise Omicron.

It suggests that prior infection from Delta alone offers virtually no protection against catching Omicron

England would only suffer 35,000 Covid hospitalisations if the entire population got infected right now compared to a quarter of a million in Germany, a study backed by Government scientists has found. 

The London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) analysis suggests the NHS is unlikely to be overwhelmed by the virus even in the event of a major surge.

Researchers looked at vaccination rates and cumulative infection numbers in 19 countries in Europe to estimate levels of immunity

California school board president is caught on mic saying ‘f**k you’ to ‘concerned’ parent

The president of a California board of education was caught on mic swearing during a meeting this week after a parent raised concerns over mandates in response to Covid-19.

Marlys Davidson, who is the president of the Los Alamitos Unified School District Board of Education was picked up by a microphone cursing during the meeting. 

Lauren Roupoli raised concerns over mandates placed on students requiring them to wear masks in class.
