Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s latest move ‘encourages’ Royal Family after bitter row | Royal | News

Prince Harry and Meghan appear to be focusing their attention on their future rather than speaking out about the Royal Family – a move that is said to have “encouraged” the rest of the Firm, a source has claimed.

After the couple chose to step away from their royal duties in 2020, they have openly spoken about their experiences in the Firm in a negative way.

The first of their revelatory conversations was during their infamous interview with Oprah Winfrey, in which the Duchess claimed that questions were asked about Archie’s skin color.

Meghan also said that Kate made her cry after they had a disagreement about bridesmaid dresses, while Harry said that King Charles and Prince William were “trapped” in the establishment.

The couple’s Netflix docuseries then came out in December 2022 in which they spoke even more candid and openly about their time in the Firm.

Harry’s memoir, Spare, was released in November and contained never-before-seen levels of detail on his life and growing up in the Royal Family.

He also spoke about losing his virginity and accused William of physically attacking him during a fight.

But since Harry and Meghan were dropped by Spotify earlier this year, the US-based royals are reportedly focusing on separate business ventures.

Insiders say they are now focusing on their family and what’s next rather than dwelling on the past – something that’s come as a big relief for other royal family members.

The couple still occasionally update their fans on their Archewell website but little has been seen of them in terms of official work.

Despite few recent comments being made about the family, the relations between Harry and the rest of the royals is still “not good,” according to Daily Mail’s royal editor Rebecca English.

The Firm “feel encouraged by claims that Harry and Meghan are now determined to focus on the future rather than family recriminations,” she said.

It comes as the couple reportedly snubbed an invitation from the King to join him, and other members of the Firm, on their annual summer holiday at Balmoral.

King Charles and Queen Camilla are set to head to Scotland next week for their first Balmoral stay without the late Queen Elizabeth II.

Prince William and Princess Kate will, of course, join their family at some point over the few weeks.

However, Meghan and Prince Harry will most likely not attend the annual summer holiday as relationships between father and son have deteriorated since the release of the Duke’s memoir.
