Max Verstappen issues fresh F1 retirement warning to Red Bull despite winning Belgian GP | F1 | Sport

When pushed on whether he had made a decision over his F1 future, Verstappen explained: “Well I mean I don’t know. It depends on what we keep doing every single year. This year it’s looking great but next year is a completely different year.”

Verstappen made the remarks when asked if he still enjoyed F1 enough to keep racing, despite securing his 10th win of the year. However, he appeared to wave off any immediate concerns as the Red Bull star admitted he was still loving the sport.

He added: “This keeps the fire going. If I have to rock up and I have no chance of winning then the fire starts to go away.” Verstappen has previously suggested he would walk away from F1 at the end of his current Red Bull deal.
